Commissioned for Christ!

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to the one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s Word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ. These are the words of the Apostle Paul, from 2 Corinthians 2:14-17, which were written through inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

The words shared with us, by Paul, have a very direct application to us as 21st Century disciples of Christ. You and I have been called by our baptism, into the family of God, and have been given the “Great Commission” to go and share the saving message of the Gospel. Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation”. It is not a matter of choice dear saints, but a matter of faithful obedience to the will of God as commanded by Jesus. For those of us who are able to live in the wonderful blessing that comes in the joy of our salvation, it should be an honor and privilege to be proclaimers of the Gospel.

You do not have to be a Pastor, a trained Evangelist, or a scholar of the Bible, to be able to share your Christian faith and the hope you have in Jesus. It is merely a matter of letting the light of Christ which is in you shine through you. And I can guarantee you that if you allow yourself to be used by the Lord as His messenger, He will provide you the opportunity and the words to speak on His behalf. Be confident, be bold, and be excited to share the love of God in Christ Jesus, knowing He who gave His all for you !!!!!!! Pastor McCarty

A Word to the Self-centered
